headed there tomorrow for an overnight trip. I will be staying at the hike in camp site. Hoping to catch and cook some fish. Also hoping to not have a heat stroke.

Have a safe trip and bring plenty of BUG DOPE, the yellow flies and mosquitoes are out in full force.

Thanks man. Yeah, the bugs are bad right now. I went to Ocala last week for a day hike and had mosquitos, horse flies and ticks. And that was after a few coats of bu spray.

Torreya SP is less than an hour from me and among my favorite places to hike. I hope to spend more time there as retirement and hiking the AT nears. Be sure to check out the Gregory House museum while you’re there.

    Have fun!

Watch out for Skunk Apes; BFRO (Bigfoot Research Organization) filmed two of their shows at Torreya State Park, but I believe it was in the winter time.

A few pics from the trip. Wasn’t too hot and not buggy at all on top of the ridge. Found some fatwood and the weird tree face guy. Watched the sunset down by the water. Had a great time.

Nice report and good photos , glad you weren't carried away by the bugs.

That "weird tree face guy" resembles a Skunk Ape :38:, did you hear any tree knocks while you were out there? ;)

Haha! I actually did here a lady doing a Bigfoot call. And i talked to the rangers about it and they said they always have Bigfoot people there “hootin and hollerin” all night.
