You're a lucky man, I'll have to travel for it. I've been to two of them, automatic dusk lights messed up the first one. Second one was overcast sky, but I'll keep going to see it as long as I can

    Well I'm makin, plans.

Thinken' I might want to view the eclipse from the Appalachian Trail. Living in NJ, that will likely be one of the closest and most worthy sights to view this from. I haven't looked closely at a map but the umbra might actually pass over Clingman's Dome. If so, I think I know where I will be.

I hope I can get off work and drive a couple hours north to see it. I don't think I have ever seen a total eclipse but I have seen a partial back when I was a kid.

The purple dot is me and plans are definitely being made by local businesses. In the location of the purple dot,is a large cross called Bald Knob Cross

I'm pretty lucky here near Charleston SC. Won't have to travel at all. Thanks for the heads up.
