There's a thread dedicated to Jeeps, I want to see some Toyotas! If you have a Tundra, Taco, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Rav4, FJ, or other 4wd Yota post it up here!

Here's a few pictures of my 2012 Army Green FJ Cruiser

Good looking machine! Mine is just a stock 2007 FJ in silver with the white roof, I’m not sure I even have a picture of it. It’s a tool, but it has never left me stuck in New England’s worst weather. I’m not sure what I’ll replace it with, or when. Typical Toyota quality it owes me nothing, and aside from a couple of alternators, a battery, couple of sets of tires and some oil it has had nothing done to it.

Here's my 01 Taco. It's got some miles but it shows no signs of slowing down. Getting a new AC compressor next week. This fall some suspension work might be happening to help it take the bumps a little easier. Since these photos I've added some rock sliders.

Here's the rig in full on basecamp mode. The tent sets up in 5 minutes and breaks down in 10. It's hard to beat that after a long day of trails.

How about a T100. Destined to be a classic. A perfect sized truck. Mine rusted out so I sold it to a guy with a couple others so he could have a supply of parts.

Its not special but its paid for.

    2000 Rav4 2.0l 4cyl 130,000 miles
The only mods are General Grabber at2 tires and a hitch for small toy hauling. 26mpg in full time 4wd....its hard to find cheaper and more reliable that is light trail capable.

Your killing me with these Fj cruiser posts! I didn't even know I wanted till seeing your trip reports. Buying an expensive knife is one thing but I don't think my wife would let this sort of purchase fly under the radar.

And all the cargo for soccer and groceries you could ever need. Actually, our 2012 Rav4 is surprisingly capable, but it can't be modified too much because of the car frame. We typically take our Chevy into the mountains, but this does great in most places.

I love the 80 series. If I didn't spend sometime on some trails that are tight by my 1st gen Tacoma standards I would definitely consider one. I predict those will be the next true classics in the Toyota realm.

Just a question for all you Toyota owners, I bought my first Toyota Tacoma in 2014. I purchased it new, ever since then I have had a bad feeling that I did not by an American made truck. At the time there were no small trucks available from the USA, this was my first foreign vehicle. Am I nuts or did anybody feel the same way after their purchase. P.S. I love the truck and it looks great but I take some crap for owning it. Thanks

Check your delivery sheet. Your 2014 model may have been 'made' in Texas.

My other vehicle is a Chevy, and I'll feel great about it right up until it starts nickel-and-diming me while my Rav4 gets to 300,000 miles. :)

In all seriousness, my Chevy has loads of import parts, so the Buy American perspective has to come with a realistic sense of what's all inside. My Toyota was built in Canada, so I guess our neighbors to the north got those assembly jobs, eh?

The most important thing is to make a smart investment, maintain it, and use the hell out of it, right? You should see some of the vehicles I see up in the mountains, in very rough places. Crappy old vans, 80s vintage compact cars, etc. In many cases I wouldn't think they could even get there, so it's a reminder to stop babying my vehicles.

Jeep has gone to crap since Chrysler and I won't buy anything from the Government Motor Corporation. I have no qualms with buying a quality item from an allied country when there is no suitable American counterpart. How many of us here buy Wetterlings or GB axes instead of Collins or True Temper?

^ C'mon, I know you want On Star in your FJ. ;)

The F150s and Jeeps are doing poorly with the new aluminum engines, so i read. Fingers crossed my new Chevy holds up. If not, I'll try and track down an old Samurai.

Under a good note my dealership mechanic said he has never seen a Tacoma on the shop floor with the engine cracked open for internal repairs. My 2011 Chevy van came damaged from the dealer and so didn't our 2006 Equinox.

Traded my Dodge diesel to my son for this. He wanted {needed } a cummins powered truck to pull his cummins powered Jeep.

Thanks! It's called a Tembo Tusk Skottle. It's great. I've cooked on it a lot. It's really efficient and packs down small.

In 8 years at Toyota I have only seen 1 Tacoma engine blow (that wasn't a 3L or 22re) and that was yesterday , it was run without oil for a few weeks and when one of the guys in the shop fired it up a rod came out the block . I have done a few FJC Timing chains and vvti controller`s though , which is strange because its the same engine as the Taco but the Taco dosent have the issues.
