The snow has finally melted enough to start running outdoors again. Unfortunately that means that 4 months of snowmobiler garbage is surfacing. Anyway amid all the booze bottles, energy drinks, spark plugs, sled parts and pee bottles(which still doesn't make sense to me, like seeing peeing outdoors wise), I found this Buck 722 Spitfire. 0416191812.jpg
It was open and obviously run over dozens of times, but cleaned and sharpened up fine. Tightening the screws brought it back to factory tight. A pretty good testament to Buck's quality.

Nice find! It's got some character and a good story behind it too, even better!

Exactly! And a free FOUND knife has an even higher cool-factor.

found Gear is always some of the coolest. My favorite water bottles and favorite jacket are found items. Found knives usually get cleaned up, sharpened, sheathed and sold at BCUSA meetup trade blankets.

I am counting down the days to start my magnet fishing loop....plenty of treasure lurking in the waters near boat ramps and heavily fished bridges...the added bonus is my urban lab loves to swim and be in knee high water....good times.

Nice find! Last year I found a wind jacket, 2 pairs of pants, and what was left of a whole frozen pizza (thawed out of course) emerging from snow thaw on the snowmobile trails.

It always annoys me to see all the crap left behind when the snow melts.
The knife is a good find though.

I live in an outdoor recreation tourist hub and the snowmobilers are by far the worst culprits, as far as litter, trespassing, alcohol abuse and disrespecting property go. With the popularity of the new side by side ATVs, it is getting almost as bad year round now.

Without a doubt the side by side craze will further reduce access to lands....the world is getting smaller by the day....just my rant.
