Heads up guys, we have an cheaper (but more durable) alternative to Fjallraven Keb trousers!

    https://www.truspec.com/24-7-series/pants/men-s-24-7-xpedition-pants

I just got a pair and LOVE them! I've been a huge fan of the Keb's but honestly they aren't that durable. I had to restitch one leg seam because it fell apart and the they have piles on them from just regular use.

The Tru-spec use ripstop fabric and are sewn more redundantly. They also have an insect mesh at the leg vents which is a good feature. Last fall I got a tick on my leg right at the vent so I'm going to appreciate the bug screen!

I don't have any association with Tru-Spec or Fjallraven, I'm just a fellow bushwacker that likes these trousers.

    Check them out!

I've worn Tru-Spec tactical pants for years training people in gun use.
    Super product!

Just got a pair in the Ranger green. Love em. Going to get a pair of the coyote brown at some point. The ranger green makes me look like I am about to deploy lol.

Can anyone comment on the sizing? True to size? Too long or Short....size up in waist or size down? I usually take a 36W and 32L in old skool Carhartt dungarees and 34w/34l in most jeans.

From the reviews on the website it seems they run slightly long, and slightly small in the waist.
I wear 33-33 when I can find them, and will likely be ordering 34-32 in the Tru-Spec.

I am a 32/32. Really 32.5/32 at this point tbh. I ordered 32/32. They are true to fit for me, even locked into my boot laces with the hooks. The 32/32 starts at 32 waist. The elastic helped with the .5. I think some of the reviews regarding the waist measurement has more to say about the wearer and ageing, (spare tire) doing that myself, and not the pant. ;).

Got a pair of these last week and wore them for a quick outing yesterday. So far I really like them they have a few features I like over Fjallraven such as rear pockets and the flexible waistband is more comfortable. I read some bad reviews online about the crotch being tight and not being able to squat in them but it wasn't the case for me they allow complete movement. It most likely depends on the build type for each individual.
