It's hard to believe that Edged Tools doesn't have a picture thread devoted to Turley Knives. It's time to change that. So if you have a Turley from a PSK to a machete, whether it's a safe queen or abused by a baton, let's see them:dblthumb:. This is the place for them:

I'll get it started with a few Soldier River pictures. I figure it's fitting to start with an old school Turley model that came into being with input from @IA Woodsman.

    P8101315.JPG P6030978.JPG IMG_1603.JPG

This represents several generations of Soldier Rivers, including the last Soldier River that Iz made (the final picture with the combat logo).

    Your turn. Let's see what you've got:dblthumb:.

Wow @XMP that's quite the lineup of SRs!

Thought I'd start off with #1

    Gasconade River

    4 1/2" handle
    4 1/2" blade

This specific one sports earth/coyote g10 scales, bone micarta spacers, 1/8” O1 Varied Convex Grind

I'll take mine out on the weekend and get some new pictures.
Remember to give the model and some specs. So we can start a data base for Iz's knives

I agree, it would be nice to have model names and specs listed with the pics.

RiverPirate, I'm not familiar with this Georgia knife maker. Is he also named Turley? I'm not tracking on the connection.

Many of the ones I posted are in the estate of the late Randy Lawhorn, I reckon he had more Turleys and other great customs than anyone I know.

He once told me that his time was short and getting the knives meant more to him than just about anything.

I have had a bout with cancer and anything to take your mind off it is worthwhile in my opinion!

RIP Randy, I considered him a kindred spirit.

I thought I'd throw up this very cool looking Air Assault hollow handle Turley; since, amazingly enough its currently sitting in the Turley store looking for a new home:dblthumb:

Not a lot of those 154cm Turleys around. I'm a big fan of O1, but it's nice to have a stainless one or two for certain situations:dblthumb:.

Seems like I remember that thread and there were some very early ones and then some later ones. Seems like Iz said that we're unlikely to see any of the first ones.

That sounds familiar, but I can't remember the specifics of it. From the By The Numbers:
