Aren't ammo CANS made of steel?

Cans are typically cylindrical too but I think most people know these aren't round

I’ve bought their ammo crates in three different sizes and they’re great for the price. Might have to pick up a couple to these, too.

    Thanks

I think years ago Rural King had these for like $5 and I bought one. I use it to hold some stuff behind the seat of my truck such as extra ammo for my most commonly used guns, a spare knife and multi tool, etc. It’s held up well.

You can find real US military surplus ammo cans on eBay or other sites for a decent price. I don't mess with anything but the real thing.

Nice find. I ordered a few for back seat containers and for bushcraft gear junk drawers.

The MTM brand containers are quite sturdy. They're heavy plastic and will hold quite a bit of weight but not like steel ammo cans. I've had one for years that I use to keep my Coyote calls, a few boxes of .233 and other goodies together. Mine has a lift-out top tray for smaller items. I even used mine as a lunch box for a couple of years working at a mine. Nearly indestructible!

These are great organizers and you'll wonder what you did without them.

I used to have a couple of those for storage. Seemed like they were okay for the money but they are listed as water resistant which is not waterproof. I found that out the hard way when my home flooded. I now only use metal military surplus cans.

Folks, this is the same box the 200 count 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady American Gunner comes in. They're sturdy enough for just about anything you'd like to put in them and stack well. There's also a tray thing that MTM sells that will carry a few at a time. Good buy on this. Thanks for the heads up.
