Ok. Let's try this one more time. :) No rules, but please keep it happy and positive. I thank you, and many others will thank you. :)

    My offer:

    Green lmf spork.
New box of UCO matches, if they are legal to ship. I'll have to check.
    Chicago Cutlery carbon steel knife.
Mirror aluminum pan, about 8" or so.
All of my offers will now include a mystery gift as well, just because that's cool! :)

This will possibly have to go in a medium flat rate box. If so, I'll add more stuff to it over the weekend! :)

I think you should include how it works. like:::: something like this... not everyone knows how it worked.. just my $.02 nor trying to siderail your new thread. I hope it works. I always liked it.

To make this go smoothly, only one offer at a time.. So..
someone starts by offering a gift. Person 1 posts in the thread that they would like it and offers a gift.
so the first posted gifter mails it to Person 1. Person 2 posts in the thread that they would like it, and offers a gift.
Person 1 mails it to Person 2. and so on....
Shipping can get expensive, if you can't afford shipping, DONT CLAIM!

Good to see you @bladesmith3 !

Yeah, I think everyone who is going to participate will know how this works. And those who don't will catch on.

I found my stash of old carbon steel butcher knives. They will be offered from time to time and I hear they are good for modding ;)
Word around here is that you do some killer mods!

It's good to see you are modest too. :)

The work I've seen from you compares with some of the finer customs that I've seen. And that's coming from a guy who has collected knives for over 40 years.

Someone please save me from getting grounded, and claim that skillet.
I've got a nice hike with the family coming up, and that thing keeps looking better than my MSR SS alpine pot.

I was born and raised on the Great South Bay, clamming, fishing etc, and pulling in a 50lb striper is a lot of fun, but truth be told, I prefer a secluded lake or stream in the woods any day!!!

Good to have both of you!!!! And also I know this is gonna seem dumb but I am kinda confused... if someone offers up multiple gifts at once and you claim it.. do you get all the gifts or do you have claim a certain gift out the options?

I love fishing gear but the only fishing I do is fly fishing and it doesn't seem like a lot of other people do. My dad lives in Florida now and I can't wait to get down there and do some saltwater fly fishing.

Someone can offer multiples, and set whatever guidelines they choose. I have a lot of chaga and birch bark, so I offer the option to choose what you want.

@bladesmith3 Glad to see you here buddy. I just stayed out of the fray to see what would emerge after the dust settled. Been in too many skirmishes throughout my long life. I have only one suggestion for the thread (not rule) if anybody doesn't like whats going on with the thread, don't whine and complain just leave the thread. Everything works itself out in the long run.

I was born and raised on the great south bay and I lived just a bicycle ride away from @raider63 house. I have caught many very large fish in the ocean right off of fire island. I worked on the research vessel wahoo for many years working shipwrecks in
wreck valley. but that was a lifetime ago. so no salt for me. lol but nice memories

I would love it if you could tell me how to tell if a butcher knife is carbon steel. I sometimes see old butcher knives in thrift shops but have been unsure how to tell so I never bought them. If it is not marked stainless steel does that mean it's carbon steel? I am new to this and would love the info. Thanks!

at least you asked a question that even I can answer. lol
this one is as easy as me making myself look foolish. are you ready????
go to the refrigerator take out the mustard.... doesn't matter what kind... shake it up a bit and
place a drop on the side of the blade.. wait 15 mins and wash it off. be careful and don't cut
yourself.. if there is a dark stain from the mustard it is carbon steel.
don't forget to take one of those mustard packs from fast food places to test knives in the thrift stores. but pretty soon you will be able to look at most knives and tell by the blade patina.
    hope that helps.
I also forgot to ask you what are you doing with the knives? stainless steel has a place in the kitchen. it doesn't darken fruit or potatoes or put metallic taste in acidic foods or fish.
