Especially when they're on sale! I bought several and froze a few.

Yeah, I pulled this one from the depths of my freezer. They freeze well.

Barley, which I have most days. It just varies what I mix into it. Today was some red onion, olives, mint, parsley, lemon cest, lemon juice and olive oil.
Protein was some slightly keftethes inspired meatballs.
A bit of salad and Greek yoghurt on the side.

It's usually something like this or kebabs, maybe fish(mostly cod or mackrell) or some sort of noodle soup, either pho or Sichuan inspired.

Just picked up a whale steak for tomorrow.

Pretty representative of a standard weekday dinner.

In this case a spelt salad with a piece of whale on top. Dinnah.JPG

I have been trying to make this for the past month and a half, but Giant Eagle does not stock the fresh seafood they used to.
    Today I was in luck.

What can make 1-1/2lbs of steamed mussels better?
    7-3-19 mussels.JPG

A sweet curry cream sauce :)

Plenty of drippings for the bread, too, but I also used a fork to get the celery and shallots :dblthumb:

I'm roughing it tonight as well.
I threw some onions, dogs and a can of Hormels Chile (no beans) in a pot and am calling it good.
Well, at least it's smelling good ;)

Wife had to feed me healthy food tonight to balance the chili binge. A version of Korean Bibimbop with teriyaki chicken, two kinds of kim chee, and no egg as I had some this morning!
