    Hollow stem, gills, orange color in the cuts....what are they? Meadows or woods? Where are you? USA or further away?

    I’m located in Poland and that is Red Pine Mushroom, very tasty wild mushroom usually harvested here in highlands / mountains. This one exactly:

    Well, here is a Lactarius deliciosus from Colorado from a couple weeks ago. Similar but different. Close enough I knew what they were as soon as I saw your post. We ate a lot of these the day of the picture.
