Has anybody made a willow whistle? I made one recently, but after a while the bark shrunk and it wasn't usable anymore. Is the solution just to whittle away a bit more wood underneath the bark?

Anyway, would love to see some pictures of whistles people have made too.

    I don't know either
.I have always just made them when I was bored to irritate the people around me. After a day or so the bark would split and I would throw it away
Curious to see if anyone has a solution

In my experience, they are a perishable commodity.

Yep, we would make them, use them until they didn't work anymore and then make another. We expected it and just made another. Same with black birch.
