Hah! Hopefully there's enough water on the ground that they can float the sleds in! Lol
I was just thinking about the sled situation lol. It's supposed to be cold Saturday so going to lighter gear isn't much of an option either! Lol
It's all supposed to refreeze Friday night/Saturday but there probably won't be any snow
Our lake has 2" of water on top of ice, I'm hoping to have a massive ice rink on Saturday
I think I'm lucky I'm not coming this year, but I still wish I was. You guys will be wet and your boots might freeze. Be careful with the ground below too. Don't get any of the important gear soaked.
Supposed to freeze back up tonight and have single digit wind chills Friday a.m. We lost a foot of snow in the last 3 days, lots of bare ground around here.
Not going to make it today, hopefully Saturday
Hope to see you tomorrow!
I'll be rolling in early, around 7 or 8 I think
When you hit the lake, turn right. Dale is up the hill about 100yds from the sign at the lake, charlie and alex are just down the trail from there. On the other side of the lake are the hammock campers behind site 5. You guys should go see the hot tent setups!
Glad to see those who made it! Sorry to have missed the others. Great fun was had by all!
How much snow was there? Down here near Lansing it snowed on the day of so curious how the sleds might have worked, if at all. Can't wait for pictures to see everyone's set up.
Also just a thought, but anyone know of any good sites at Huron-Manistee National Forest for next year possibly?
Hope everyone had fun, waiting for posts.
I was one in the Hammock group, Enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing all of the different shelters.
It was cold enough to test gear well, but I would have liked more snow, especially to go out on Sunday.
I hope to see you all at the next one
Of course I do.
