I do stuff with metal that makes stabby slicey things! Lol
Today was a good day, got the garage cleaned up some, and some knife stuff done....
A Stag and Sheepsfoot done.
And working on a couple new models...
The Backpacker, 3.5" clip point blade, 4" handle. 3/32" O1. It's got a lightened tang and is ment to watch the ounces. Could even be a really nice EDC too!
Then there is this guy.... dont know about him yet... kinda a mid size, 3-7/8" blade 4-3/8" handle 1-1/4" height on the blade with a nice 1/4" drop to the point.
Here is an Odd duck, customer order. Its like a smaller pararang that actually feels right.
Been busy today, hope to send out a batch to Peter's this week for HT.
New model test blade! 1st temper cycle
The Survival Kurz!
And beside my Stag
This one is going out @VanGo shortly. It's a Orion XL, in a FFG, and no it isn't perfect but for my first FFG I'll take it.
Pretty sweet dude.
They might not be badgerclaw level of sexy but I can make a good leather sheath too.....
Yea so I normally carry a Tupperware model G19 on my right EDC, so I decided it was time for a lefty sheath and I chose to fit one to the Survival Kurz for carry tomorrow out in the field.
So you southpaws, I got you!
Out with the old, in with the new. I'll clean up the blade too before the new handle scales go on.
Progress! About time to glue it up after the front is squared up and finished off.
Busy busy busy... this one is an order from Instagram. Custom Survival Kruz, natural canvas micarta, red liners, carbon fiber tubes for pins, saber grime with leather sheath fitted after completion of course.
And a shotty pic of a gentleman's EDC, the bobcat, wearing black canvas with brass pins and tube.
More tomorrow, I have a Dozier showing up for a rehandle from g10 to micarta!
Busy busy busy
Been busy as all get out and I'll post up some pictures in about 7 hours lol.
Got a new rzmask 2.5 mesh mask!
2 rehandles done!
1 done with heat cycles!
2 in tempering now (at 2am)!
And all my new hire paperwork done! Boom I'm done for the day.... okay I'm not really, I have to wait 30 minutes to set the timer on the final temper cycle on the mini cleaver!
Thanks to the guys from the site and their business!!
Kukri re handle is now done as well as the Dozier
Kukri, this one was challenging because under the original scales there were a ton of hammer marks and the taper was off quite a bit on the tang. I straightened it up as much as I could without changing the shape or profile.
The Dozier wasn't near as hard to re handle, didnt even have to adjust either kydex sheath for it either!
Can you tell which was hardened at Peter's?
The mini Pararang is that much closer to done! I will harden it and temper it today!
Along with finishing up these!
Time for a new profile pic I guess.... now if I can get the stupid pic to load
Success! Lol, new profile pic, still masked up!
Game changer! Digital angle finder/ protractor thingy
I'm gonna make the post office lady hate me one day.... and there is 2 more to go out that's not pictured.
Hmmmm...... maybe......yes, yes I will....
Yep, I did...
And then what would Plainsmen Knives be without offering a Kephart inspired knife?
Two more bushcrafters up and coming. One is spoken for, the other is not.
A weird little Tanto
Two Bushcrafter's and the poor homeless Sheepsfoot blade ....
Ugh not much happened today after work.... just a sheath for one of the Bushcrafters
Been busy lately, got out to put corn in the feeder and spend some time outside... and knocking out orders..... also made some small pointy things.
Oh yea a 3.6oz FFG Bushcrafter!
Little sheath action yesterday. Finished another blade up too. One more order and two more blades then the 3v should be here.
Fyi I'm flippin tired lol.
Bushcrafter and Sheath... 7.9oz
Other recently finished knives
I have a Survival Kurz and kephart in tempering now. Along with the FFG Bushcrafter.
