We had so much track and struts from last season we finally got around to laying track flat and putting commercial struts on every 8". The shed is 16'x19'x8' at the peak ,the sides are 7' and we did a 3-12 pitch.
For now it's covered with crappy old tarps but this week we are getting some used corrugated steel 20' long.

We just got it filled up with 14 cords of wood!

That is super duper awesome! Stellar job too.
I wish I had access to that material, I would make something like that plus the green house garden cover type thing the wife keeps hounding me for.

The nice thing about the track is you cut one piece and put them back to back ,now you have a pattern and then we welded track screws and built a jig, kind of tacked them and then added the braces.

    Fish house
    Green house
I would love to build a bigger shed too!

14 and Plus! The plan is to not cut wood for two years freeing up time to do the Bushcraft thing.

It snows in your neck o’ the woods? Shallow pitch and wide spaced rafters gunna be good through your winter?

When space allows you might want to consider putting in some diagonal cross bracing to keep your rick from racking. At least the two corners you can still reach and the other two as you unload towards the fresher wood. Joists will help keep the sides from bowing out as the ricks settle and shift. There’s a lot of energy stored there in more ways than just BTUs, and the rounds are easily set to motion.
I hate to go all Opa on ya, just would hate to see all that effort turn into a soggy pile of ‘pick up sticks’.

Thank you for your input! Two heads are better than one! If snow weighs more than the kid in a square foot we are in trouble!

14 cords ,filled up. May have to seal some holes in the old tin but man it feels good to be done with this marathon project! A hoop shed of the same size is $1600 and I'll bet time wise we spent a quarter of that.
At least this project is a one off and done. Now ,on to the garden and lots of horse manure!
