I saw the face at first glance! That’s a beautiful piece and I can’t wait to see it come fully to life. Another one where the grain is so unique it’s fun to look at and full of character! Especially with that face- reminds me of an alien from the movie Galaxy Quest. Congrats to you @Quinlan

    Greetings,

Thank you. It's the hardest thing for me now, to wait for them to be delivered. They are already on their way, but i am thinking about it so often that time seems slowed, dragging its feet. Haven’t felt such anxiousness before, not with knives or any other items I have received and I was waiting for...

    Regards,

    Christos

    Hello again Tim:

While doing more research I came across this thread. How does this work? Do you have a list of folks that would love to finish one of your beauties or do we just watch your posts for a shout out that one is available. This is a great way for me to start. I’ve done lots of research but am afraid to start from scratch. Finishing one of yours may just give me the confidence to start my Christmas projects. Do you have a little time to get me up and going? Regards, Linda Ambert

    Tim:

What size blank did you use for something like this?

    Thanks, Linda Ambert

    Hi Tim:

Sounds like you take our name and particulars for one of your Carve A Kuksas. I am so excited at the opportunity to finish one of your Kuksas. Please add me to your list for an 8 ounce Cherry wood Carve A Kuksa. Thank you so much for the time you spend educating new carvers like me. I look forward to hearing from you when my CAK I ready. I retired last year and am trying to fill my time with something enjoyable and rewarding. I am so glad our paths have crossed. Sincerely, Linda Ambert

The Carve-A-kuksas are for sure the best deal and the best option for a person wanting to carve one that is new to carving.

I honestly can't remember what size rough blank that one came from Linda.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm sorry Linda but I'm not currently taking orders for any of my work, I just have too many irons in the fire at this time. You can subscribe to (or watch I believe it's called) this thread if you'd like and when one is posted here you'll get an alert. Keep a close eye on the thread though as they don't usually last very long once posted. If you'd like to watch/follow my WIP thread as well, often times you can see what's going to be available soon. I sent you a PM Tuesday but never got a response back from you.

    Greetings,

From Scotland, a night in a fir forest, perfect, warm company with a hot cup of chamomile.

Thank you brother Tim for the company!

Thank you much brothers! I hint of cherry would be a nice touch to a morning coffee. :dblthumb: To be honest my taste buds aren't very refined so I'm not sure if there is any noticeable difference in flavor between a kuksa from cherry vs one from birch or not.

    Hi Tim.

Thank you for your kuksa tutorial. I have been doing lots of reading on the subject but am afraid to finally put the knife to the wood. I read all your threads and most of my kuksa questions were addressed. If you ever go back to selling those 90% complete Kuksas please keep me in mind. It would be a good way for me to get my feet wet. I’ll be keeping my eye on your thread so I can hopefully buy one of your completed gems as well.

    My best regards, Linda Ambert

Thank you Linda, I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Right now my Narcolepsy for some reason is worse than it's ever been so I haven't been able to make anything lately. I hope and pray it will get better soon.

Thank you sis, I greatly appreciate it. My craft is like therapy for me and it gets depressing when I'm not able to do it.
