    Yes Sir, striker is just captured by a length of shock cord with a knot tied in it. Can be removed.

    If you're planning to use a knife or other as the striker, you may be interested in the M1 I have listed. The striker is captured on a paracord lanyard. But strikers on M1, M2 and M3 can be removed.

    Good to know. A good striker can also be used to scrape fatwood for tinder.
