I wanted to see various examples of personalized axes (mainly handles) from some other people. I love seeing an axe with ones own personal touch.

If you have them, post them here!

Here's my favorite, a vintage True Temper FSS Pulaski I hung on a hickory handle. I gave it a light uneven char and marked off 30 inches with small grooves, and I must say I absolutely love everything about it now.

That's nice. I have a pulaski I got from @Muleman77 that I have to hang soon. I'm going to customize the handle on that.

I have never been real big on personalized stuff, but that's due to change. :)

I like personalized handles exactly for that reason, they're personalized and easy to spot in a group. I really like the inches marked off on handles though, it's easy enough to do, and comes in handy! Some put them on the thin edge of the handle.

Anyways post yours when you're done, especially since I have a soft spot for pulaskis

    Fin, those are beautiful.
Edit: dangit, you got me again! That's three pics of the same axe, isn't it.

Posting my personalized axes would be like asking a cockroach to show you pictures of his kids......

My AA&T boys axe. Didn't do much to the handle but buffed the bevels.

As a general rule most axes I redo I fix back as they were produced. I did fix both of these for me.

The first is a hammer mod. Package weighs about a pound on 12 inches. Note deer in yard just over the pole.

This is a Tommy axe mode on 18 inches. This is a fantastic camp chore tool.

Mine is more of the belt/pack variety. I started with a recently forged bearded axe from Bulgaria. The haft was salvaged from a '70s Hults Bruk, and it now weighs in a bit under 14oz.

The plumb on the left, is my new one. Its got a home made sleeve. The gerber on the right has a cord wrap in the spot I prefer to grip it. Right now I'm sitting the fence on which one to make standard kit. The gerber has a saw in the handle. But I've got a folding saw standard already. The plumb is lighter, both are up to what I'd ask of them.
    Cheers Jim

Thanks! The stamp is c32. It’s a ribbed eye Kelly Woodslasher on a 28” House handle.

Here's a 3.5lb SAW on a 28" that I tried to get creative with at the end of the grip.
