this one is kind of funny. first time got a huge coal going with this poplar and decided to take it up to the camera and it blew away and couldn't retrieve it. second time a good coal going but went out in nest(first time by the way) and third time I took all the precautions :) this wood seemed extremely easy to get a coal going over any of the ones I have tried. deleted certain parts so as not to make it too long.

Nice! It seems we all have these kinds of days. Thanks for showing that it doesn't always go the way you'd expect every time. Oddly enough, I'm glad I'm not the only one who encounters these types of problems, ha ha.

Great recovery, though. You stayed calm, cool, and collected and worked it through to success. Believe it or not, it's good to experience. If it were a survival situation an inexperienced person would have freaked in frustration.
