30-30 oil lamp took to the next level

I saw a post about a bullet casing oil lamp. And i made one out of a fifty cal. For my dad. He loved it and decided to go all upgrade crazy! It turned out pretty sweet! The flame sizes are different due to different homemade wicks we were testing.

We are using tight wound t-shirt cloth, small wound cloth, and a peice of store bought lamp wick we found for cheap. So far the fatty t-shirt roll is best! It burns slow enough for the thick canola oil to wick up into the cotton. We had that one burning for 45 entire minutes!

Those were a pain in the neck!!! So hard to push on. But its looks awesome and holds together nicely.
