I was out of town for a couple of days on business and took a little detour on the way home. A little rainy. A little breezy. Who could ask for anything more.

I have never seen so much great tinder in one location! haha. Is that fourth pic a Manatee?

Also is that bird in the 5th photo an Anhinga?

Beautiful river. I really like the colour!

I've got windburn from working outside most of today....it's nice to take a mental with ya to a different climate!

Great pics, looks like you had a good time even with rain and wind. Thanks for sharing them.

Yes, there is a Manatee in pic 4 (and a few other pics). Not sure what kind of bird it is.

I've been to Florida, found nature there to be intimidating ans scary, way too exotic for me to feel at home. And I almost piss my pants just thinking of snakes and all the venomous critter u have there! Good pics tho!

The part of Florida I camp in , the nature coast , has lots of spring fed rivers boiling out of the limestone . These colors seem like they are enhanced but that's what they are .
These pics make me camp sick for Crystal River , the Suwanee , Rainbow river etc .
I'll get back though darn it .

awesome pics, and was this a state park you was at. i am going to be in florida at the end of february and i would love to check this place out.

Wow, that place is stunningly beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I go out in the rain over here these days and everything is grey, cold and miserable as heck.

wery cool, whats the fish/ and is the water a salty mix with sweet?

It's a fresh water spring that feeds the St. Johns River. Over 100 million gallons of fresh water a day flow into the river from these springs.
