My amateurish attempt at a sporran type belt pouch. I just cannot seem to get the whole leather carving thing down. Anyways it is functional and does fit an Altoid tin and ferro rod etc. No laughing! :4:

Amateur...you must think we are blind. You did an amazing job on that brother.

It definitely trumps my first attempt at a sporran out of canvas. :15:

Yeah, that's pretty crappy. Better send it to me. :)

If that is amatuer then I would hate to see what you would call my work...

Great job

I'm looking at my first leather work right now and it doesn't look as nice or even in the same league. I have more work to do but I'll post it up...

You all are waaaaay too kind. I just notice all the imperfections. I'm not completely pleased with the carving but like I said it is functional. I've seen some awesome leather carvings on here. Overall I think it came out okay. I'm going to put it to use next week on a hike.

I see nothing amateur about that at all! Wow man that's a fantastic piece of work!

You did a great job. Get used to the self criticism, its not going anywhere. But that's why we are here, so we can slap you and say "ITS AWESOME!"

I've been making pouches, holsters ,sheaths,etc.. for a few years, but have yet to attempt leather carving.Your work looks great, you know what they say ..we're are our own worst critics.lol.Great job.

awesome job! the only leather that I have had the courage to work with has been in KIT form - haha! Just sew the predrilled holes and you're done!

really nice work!

It is easy to notice your own imperfections but often other swon't notice until you point them out. Carving improves with practice.
