I went out to see of buddy of mine this afternoon. about 4 miles away.
Thought I'd share a couple pictures of the neighbors I met along the way.

About 1,000 yards from the cabin, I ran into these groupies.

Another mile down the road, I had to wait to let these two cross the road.

Around the next bend I found another mamma and a yearling.

On the return trip, a couple hours later, the deer had left and this group moved in to the same spot.

Thanks for looking.

Where are the bucks?

Same here but far fewer deer this year than normal. Lots of turkey though. Nice photos, thanks for posting.
Thanks. I dunno about the bucks. They tend to hang solo once they get the rut out of their systems. I saw a fork horn a couple weeks ago on my river walk who still had his rack, but I haven't seen any others since the end of November. Another month, though, and it will take a prostate exam to tell them apart. ;)
