Big Brown showed up tonight with a box, I wasn't expecting anything so I didn't have Mel's coffee, that's my UPS guy. He is here frequently so I usually have coffee on.

Anyways.

I open the box and inside was some gifts from 'jstalljon'.

In his post of his recent outing he had a flint striker in there that caught my eye. I inquired about its origin but I never expected him to give it to me, I'm humbled.

Also in the box was a bushcrafty note, as well as a spice kit and three vials to hold various liquids. This will square my cook kit away for the most part, and the striker is truly awesome.

One more example of the quality of people that frequent these forums. My hat is off to all of you, and to you, jstalljon, thank you for the unexpected, and thank you for the friendship.

Rest assured you'll being seeing all items in my upcoming outings!

Awesome. Those spice kits are cool as all get out.

Very cool weve got some good dudes on this board

oww man!
This is awesome!! This just fits right into your filosophy on outdoors and gear, doesn't it??

I'm always surprised by the generosity of this forum, too and I'd wish many people were more like that.
It'd make the world a so much better place....

Thank you to all for the kind words. I'm humbled daily by the generosity of the people on this site.

I feel closer to many of you here than most of the people I interact with daily at my office!

The vast amount of knowledge, giving and caring attitudes, kinship, and lack of spam and flamed threads truly makes this site the best on the internet!

And Croatoan, thank you for YOUR friendship, wisdom, and taking the time to document all your outings. I appreciate the kind words here as well.

That's great! Being the epitome of an armchair bushcrafter I live vicariously through you guys. The site gives me such a good feeling every time I get on, which is everyday. I am continually amazed at your thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you for being here and being who you are.

Awesome stuff, and just shows once again what a great bunch of people we have here. I want to ask, what did you put in the last vial that comes empty? I have been wanting to get one of those spice sets, and I would fill the last one with Ginger.

Very nice gesture, This site rocks. I really like that spice kit. Anybody know where to get the vials, to make your own mix.
