Just found these products and in watching the videos on them, they look like they would be worth investing in.
Was wondering if any of you have tried them and have any feedback?

If they throw as much light as they advertise, then I think that they would be a valuable asset to the camping gear.

Looks like a good concept, but they are no more than "Nightlights" And not as bright as they show in the pictures. It looks like they put them under black light to get them to glow like that.

This is from their own site....

"No it is not bright enough to read your paperback novel, but it has been known to let some campers play cards. It is a welcome sight in any dark tent, when you normally wake up trying to find your flashlight for your trip into nature in the middle of the night."

I have some and they work pretty good. Just use them for what they are intended and don't expect them to project light, but be more of a "night light". They are bright up to a point, but will fade through the night.

I have a couple of them. You have to put them in direct sunlight for a half hour or so to get them as bright as shown. They do seem to keep a medium brightness for quite a while (2-4 hours) but they fade from full brightness quite quickly.

For use in a tent or hammock they give a quick reference point in full darkness but I think you'd go blind trying to play cards or read by the light of one of these.

For the price it might be worth what little convenience they provide.

A light stick puts out more light but these are "Rechargeable" in sunlight or by artificial light source (lamp, etc.).

Thanks for the feed back... am thinking about getting one to try out.

I contacted the supplier and they drop the price considerably if you buy in bulk. Not sure if any of you have a buying coop or something, but that would be the way to go, if there's a bunch that want to get them.
