Anyone here familiar with Basecamp and/or the Oregon 450?

I sure could use some help.

I downloaded a topo map from gpsfiledepot.com. I cannot load it into Basecamp in order to upload it into my Oregon 450. Any help is appreciated.

If the topo you downloaded has an installer it's pretty straight forward, if you don't have an installer there is a link to alternate instructions in the how to.

Thanks I appreciate your help. Mine did not have an installer and when I looked at all to the steps and instructions just to get the map to install on the computer in order for Basecamp to allow it to upload I decided it was not worth it. It boggles my mind how something so simple can be made so difficult. The Rube Goldberg of software I guess.

I haven't searched for every map world wide, but for my region any of the recently updated maps on gpsfiledepot.com have an installer. I figure if I can't download a file with an installer either I don't need the map, or the map has been replaced with something better and that's the one I need.

I agree 100%! I'll look at some other files that contain NC and see if they have an installer. Thanks very much for your help.
