I would like to thank the Mods and members on here for NOT Tolerating the Zombie apocalypse/SHTF Fantasy type behavior on here. Don't get me wrong, I am a prepper and practice survival skills but what separates us from them is the fact that we live in Reality. This forum is Awesome and I hope it stays that way.
 
Agreed for sure. I really do not get the whole zombie apocalypse thing. Yea I like zombie flicks occasionally but some of the CRAP that is being marketed and that people are actually PAYING for. It just blows my mind
 
I've been under a rock, (or in Canada???) I guess, 'cause I don't see a ton of that junk, but I will take this opportunity to second the motion that this forum is top drawer, all the way. Good on ya.

I already think that it is kind of pushing the forum with the backpacking, geocaching, and preparedness subforums since there are many other internet forums that are more specific towards those activities. Those topics are already a bit off-topic and even having them on here is a privilege, I can't imagine how many times the mods have to monitor those sections to keep it from straying way off topic. It must get old after a while and their continued efforts to keep watching over them is a testament of their patience.
 
Agreed on all points! I changed my name from emergprep to the current becasue of the few that are hear were giving unwanted attention. Good riddance to that garbage.

RIGHT ON, theres to many Rambo want-a-bees out there with bowie knives and camo that wouldn't make it a night in their own back yard

Preparedness has been part of the forum since its conception. The others were added to the Activities forum because bushcraft crosses many lines in the outdoors.

I love zombie movies are great. Especially the 70s-80s era. With that said...

Thank you for making this thread! I really can't stand those forums and YouTube videos. Much of bushcraft is almost an art form with nature and sometimes the macho fantasy Rambo stuff just seems to be a way for people to kill boredom and boost their egos.

I guess as long as they're enjoying themselves and learning new things about the forest, well then great.. But I'm glad it's not something this forum focuses on.

I completely agree, I dont understand that whole end of the world movement. When Michael Jackson does return to take over the world nothing will stop him singing that stupid thriller song.
