Well got up and took myself out for breakfast this chilly chilly morning.
Not a good pic but it's just my phone. After all my banging around and smokey fire I was just sitting there and saw these guys accross the river (I counted 7)
And of course the finisher
-a couple thoughts about this morning
- the army bivy is a great all around sit pad, shaving collector etc ,much better than a wool blanket in this weather, just shake it off
-standing vertical wood is way better than any other standing leaning wood that seems to freeze moisture on/in it (unnoticeable until it hits fire)
-bacon is extremely messy but good
-a small saw and knife and a fella can get along nicely for a quick fire (coming from an axe guy)
-my heavy pot stand is a waste of time to carry
-coarse ground coffee sinks and stays much better than med grind
-must carry an extra pouch for collecting tinder and such.my pockets are a mess
