Cheap XXL and XXXL 100% wool baselayers

As a big guy who works in the cycling industry, let me warn you all. If you wear an xl shirt, you WILL need at least an xxl or bigger if you don't want something that resembles a second skin. These would make a great base layer, just don't expect to comfortably wear something like this alone. They are very form fitting.

Interesting side note. In mountain bike racing, there is a weight class called Clydesdale, and one must be over 200 pounds. Not much cycling specific clothing in that class.

If you are looking for cheap wool base layers check out 6PM.com for Orca merino wool products. The prices were good enough even I could afford and few things.

Buy with confidence from Rivendell. Great company with which to deal.

there's wool...and then there's 100% Merino Wool... that's a great deal.

if I didnt have what I needed already in that department, I'd be all over that deal.

Brionic pointed out this fine company to me last year in some PM's - good company.

Their hickory shirt is on sale too

Doesn't have the internet "cool factor" of wool, but it's way more durable and is an authentic American icon, and these are Made in USA as well. :42:

I've had a few Ben Davis shirts that have lasted for the better part of a decade.

I raced the iceman a couple years ago as a clydesdale. There were some guys that should have been class 1...
