Very nice Legitimus Collins

wesakachino, A very nice Christmas present from your Dad. What you have is a Collins " Legitimus" Hudson Bay axe. The Legitimus is a little harder to find in a vintage Collins axe.

Very very nice....treat it well as you refurb it. It will out live you if treated right.

Regards, Double Ott

I know, i am from Collinsville CT, he bought it from the collins and co musuam!, i have a shop in the original collins company, check out my threads! Wes-- http://bushcraftusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53367

I'd try to save that handle. Very nice axe.

I know, ive been contemplating, i dont know if i want to make it a user cause it was a gift from my pops, and he's getting pretty old, i want to keep it the same as when he gave it to me ya know, i dont know what im gonna do yet, im thinking i might get a shadow box ad frame it and put it up in my office with some pics of family member working in the old factory!, i have good users and would just be pist if anything ever happend to it cause, its somthing special due to i grew up 20yards from the factory in Collinsville ct and all my great uncles/grandfather ect all worked in the collins axe factory back in the day so its kinda where i came from!! Thanks, Wes--

Very cool.....ive been wanting one of those for a long time. I hope you enjoy it.
