Cool way to carry backup Alcohol for stove

Excellent idea! Thank You.

I have seen others use the clear plastic drinking straws the same way to store salt, pepper, spices in their cook kits as well as 3 in 1 ointment, petrolium jelly, etc. in their first aid kits. You can make them as long or short as needed and each is a single use packet.

Great idea.

Watched it on Mute and you may have already said it but be sure to not use the flame to seal the plastic if you spilled alcohol while injecting.

You could probably fill the with gel alcohol fire starter as well. It would have a little longer burn time for getting a fire started.

I wonder if the fuel stabilizer itself would burn just as good as the Alcohol?

Good question. I haven't tried it. I guess it would depend on the type of stove you were using. Not sure. I'lll try that this weekend too. I've came up with a new stove for my canteen cup thats better than the other 2 I did. I'll try it in this one.

Good idea, I would have never thought about doing this. Who, da thunk it.

interesting, but why not just carry it in an hdpe squeeze bottle or something?

much more durable/reusable

thanks for sharing ^_^
