So this winter is pretty mild around here. we were frozen over on Friday. I was happy I was able to get a good hike in before then. Friday night we got nasty weather. It's just been rainy for two days.

I'm just north of Terre Haute

Crazy winter.

He in SE PA, on Saturday we had our first snow since the freak storm around Halloween. Only a few inches, but enough for my kids to get some sledding in.

Yesterday I was out in the woods with a friend to begin cutting and splitting up a large oak that fell on his land. We plan to turn it into bows. The temps were in the 20s.

Today it's raining and is expected to get up to around 50*F. I wish the weather would pick a temperature range and stick with it. These 30* swings from day to day are messing with my sinuses.

South Bend Indiana area. We had about 10 inches by Saturday but overnight Sunday it actually warmed up and started this crazy drizzle/fog that is melting it.

All the neighborhood kids were sleddin yesterday. Rain last nite n half the snow today. What little snow we've gotten has melted within a week. Atleast it's not waist high like the Groundhog Day Blizzard of '11. :-]

Seriously Tom load up the truck! Friday I was sitting on this little ridge with my little fire and was thinking how nice it was to be out in winter. and to day if feels like late September. I just watched One Legged Josh's vid on his weekend and I was so jealous.

Well had 6" of snow between friday and Sun today 60° and rain I hate this winter

Way too warm here in Florida too.... LOL!
Seriously, we have had a noticeably mild winter, skeeters still buzzing around... I miss some good old cold Bushcrafting outings... Used to snowshoe a lot back in Oregon and Idaho... Been wearing cutoffs and my Merrill Outbounds.... :-)~

West Michigan got a few inches of snow, the powdery pretty stuff, the end of last week. The weekend was beautiful but cold, today rain and nasty slush. This is going down in my book as the worst winter in years. Had I wanted nasty winters like this I would have stayed in Southern Illinois.

We had a couple inches of snow for a day or two but it went up to around 49 this morning and it rained. So now it feels like spring. No more snow but everything is soaked!

Jon.

This was last week . Then we got about 6 more inches on top . Spent the whole day on the tractor cleaning out the lane . Today after the rain its all gone . The winter there was no winter .

Down in the bottom looking up at the barn . Between Fort Wayne and Auburn .

we got lots and were supposed to get lots more! Its free so come take all you need!

Had about 18" of snow, got warm the past two days and it's melting though.
Between the Cascades and the Kootenai-Cabinet Range, the clouds were wrung out by the time they got to us. We only got about 6"-7" locally. But after plowing two parking areas, cutting trails to the out buildings and wood piles, raking off the flat roofs, and breaking ice dikes along the eves, the last thing I want to do is go camping in this crap! :D

You poor guys/gals in Western WA got hammered! Last I heard there were still at least 20,000 homes without electricity.

Looks like a Christmas post card!

I guess the United States had the worst tornado season ever recorded in modern history last year.. and I never even knew because I don't watch the news much after 911 happened.... to many sad things... anyways heck yeah the weather has been funny I was wearing T shirts last week because it wasn't very cold at all.... Now its freezing cold out and raining and the wind is blowing.... finally feels like winter here

Isn't it nice? Took the chance to go to the city for supplies and we were one of the only cars on the road. We snowshoed around the property and made a 5' snowman. Our home is fire and man-powered (and wife)! :18:

We lost the rest of ours between yesterday and today's balmy weather. I think it almost made 50. Ice fishermen are going into DT's.

:17::17:

I remember a winter like this about 10 years ago and a couple of ice fisherman got so desperate they went out anyway and drowned . I swear ice fishing is addictive .

No snow where I am in western Pa, just mud! I happen to live on a very wet hillside, lots of natural springs, so if I get the urge to walk up hill at all, it gets very ugly. Alas, up is the direction of my closest woods....

Dave Markowitz said it all!

Terrible ski weather, but that's OK, that just means the ski traffic hasn't sucked in our area:D

Mold a toboggan run into the mud, and wait for it to freeze?

We've had little to no snow cover and above normal temperatures so far. In a way it can be good. We've had two bad winters in a row and our deer herd suffered. It needs a break to replenish itself.

Secondly with heating oil close to four bucks a gallon it helps out in the monthly budget.
