I have done some research on stoves and found a site that was informative on how hot the air has to be coming off a wood burning stove in order to have the unburned gas ignite. double walled stoves are usually considered gasification stoves. Many beleive that there is unburned gas come up the space between the 2 walls and enters into the path of flames coming up in the center of the stove and is ignite. The site where the info came from is linked to at the bottom of the thread.
