Just curious if you use your favorite knife all year round or if you have a different knife for the winter. If you do, why?
I no longer own any stainless fixed blade knives, so that isn't a consideration for me. But I do have a couple of hidden tang knives that I tend to gravitate to in the winter. One in particular, a ScrapYard Dumpster Mutt LE, has a resperine C handle with no exposed metal. I like this handle for the winter, because its a little warmer in the hand. In its stock configuration its not the best slicer, but I've sent mine in to BarkRiver and had them put a full convex on it, so it cuts very well now.
