I love my Kelly Kettles!!!!

this video shows how I stack my twigs vertical and top light. The paper I use is telephone book type. The paper forms a protective ash covering while ignighting the tinder and allowing the fire to progress downward. The stainless steel twig holder maintains an orderly burn. when the water comes to a boil and the pot removed, no twigs fall out. I use the same type of arrangement with my large stainless Kettle.

Notice the kettle on the left has no base like the one on the right. It is supported by a light weight, 3/4" high stainless steel (+) cross that is in 2 pieces. This set-up was the purpose of comparing the burn rate of the 2.

This one shows me cooking eggs in a cast iron skillet on the large kettle:

This one shows a draft reducer used on the top of the kettle. It's nice to reduce the draft in the beginning so the tinder has a chance to get a good burn going. too much draft and it can get blown out.

that's hillarious...."hey, burn your own cork!" :4:

you look like you are having tons of fun with 'em - congrats!

Great vids zelph, did you make the damper or buy it?
I made it. Used the top off a stainless steel salt shaker. Salt shaker was $1.00 at a Super Dollar store. I used an arbor press fitted with a 1/2" punch to nibble out the center hole.
