Just put the finishing touches on a sheath for my ESEE 4.

I tried something a little different on this one. Some of my holsters have snaps so you don't have to undue your belt and slide them on. I like this feature so I incorporated it into this sheath.

I have only had the chance to try it around the house so far. I think this will be a keeper. Just thought I would share it here. Thanks for looking.

Awesome Sheath! Do you mind if I link your pictures to the ESEE Jungle Training forum?

Very nice work, looks great along with the knife.

You can even add a dangler setup to if you wanted, looks like your belt loop is not that wide so a d-ring would fit right on that, maybe a slighter larger one than normal.

BTW, how do you like those TKC scales? I've been hesitating on getting some for my 3, but I think the time has come.

I did made it so a d-ring will fit. I should of snapped a pic with the dangler attached. However I really like how this one rides without the dangler.

Nice work. How did you finish the leather?

After dying and stitching I applied Fiebing's Neatsfoot oil and let it dry for two days. Long day at work yesterday. Got up this morning and applied a coat of Fiebing's Carnauba Cream. Let it dry and buff. Than followed with a second coat of the carnuba cream and buffed again. This leather working is still new to me so I am still experementing to see what I like.

That's a great sheath and an even better idea about the snaps on the belt loop. I'm surprised you don't see that more. Makes me wish I had one for my Rat RC4. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

That's gorgeous. What dye and leather did you use? Is it nice and stiff, or did the carnauba wax and neatsfoot oil soften it up considerably? I'm also new to leather working, so I'm just getting a feel for such things.

8-9 oz leather, Fiebing's mahogany oil dye. I didn't notice any change in the stiffness of the leather after the oil and wax. Hope ths helps.
