Well thanks to you guys and gals I had to make a knife. It's my first try and it ain't perfect but I learned alot in the process, (don't oil quench in the basement...whoops) not to mention thoroughly enjoyed it.
O1, brass liners, steel pins and swirly bone colored Corian scales.
I also aint no photo grapher so sorry for the cruddy pics.

Also made some home donuts today but thats another thread.

I'm very impressed :) how tough were the brass liners? I really like the look of them and would like to give it a try. Again, great job :)

Wow thanks everybody. No the brass was no harder than the rest of the work, but when it's that fun you can't really call it hard work. Ohhhh so true that I can't make just one.... round 2 in progress , lots of hand filing and a true full scandi.
anyone interested in a pass around of one? would be neat and helpful to get feedback so I know I'm doing something useful.

Are you effing kidding me? Your first knife? I'm on like number 15 and have not made one that nice yet, even when trying... Awesome.

I have some 1095 on the way, will be here before 2-1, can't wait to get started. Hope my first turns out half as nice as yours.

Awesome job on the handle and blade profile! A nice sheath and you got a classic.
