I finally found some fatwood! there wasn't much because the termites had gotten to most of the wood, but I did find a decent enough amount for myself (and maybe some to share) I'll post pictures up when I get a chance to. I'm just so doggone excited! Oh and I now know what the big craze about it is!
I also found an empty turtle shell while looking for fatwood. Looks like it's a Musk Turtle Shell. Alot of the wood that I found was literally disintegrating in my hands, but I was able to find a good chunk of good fat wood, there were some pieces that cut like butter, and didn't burn worth a darn. I'm new at the whole fatwood thing but I'll learn how to get the good stuff some day!
