I have a trip planed for Feb. three day on the river. I would like to have a Bushcraft Brother along. Going to be a few friend's coming along. All are welcome to come. Leave from Ray's Wayside Park on Friday morning, Pick up Sunday afternoon, at Gore's landing. Doing the Ocklawaha river. This is a great trip. Peace.

I can almost guarantee we won't paddle out until noon. I don't think it's ever happened. Daywalker, you wanna pull permits for the bluff again?
That sucks that you can't make it Madmax. Maybe we could do Kicco the weekend after or something?

If you want to pull them for the Bluff that's fine, I never have had a problem with getting a camp site, there are several nice place's just a little farther down the river. Didn't you pull them last time? My self I have never pulled permit's. And never have a problem.
 
Called the Greenways today to pull permits. Get this...they don't require permits anymore. The river is ours! I told them we'd have up to a dozen people camping at the bluff that weekend. She also said that fires were ok as long as there isn't a fire ban.
Who's in?
 
I'm in. Anybody know a way to speed up time so the 17th gets here sooner?
 
I'm bringing my big *** canoe so I'll have room if anyone needs a lift. I'll be traveling north on 75 to Ocala if anyone needs ride too. No reason to miss this one just because you don't have a boat.

I got a buddy coming on the trip. Might he possibly snag a seat in your canoe?

Have a great time. I'm working that weekend, but Mrs. Crash and I are going out for a few nights the weekend prior.

In my defense, I was new to this whole river camping thing at the time. I'd also like to point out that Let'sRock was sharing the space AND my canoe is probably 2 feet longer than this one.



Oh who am I kidding. That thing is gonna be loaded up. Especially if I have someone to help paddle it.

Yeah, just checked the weather. Looks like I'll get to test the waterproofness of my tent finally.
Any idea how many people we got coming to this?
 
Y'all seem a hoot. If you're having this much fun on the forum, look out when ya hit the river! Good trip n don't forget the pics. :-]
 
Heading up to the farm after work tomorrow. The work shop is just about done the power should be on this week. Still, I'll be glad when it's all done and I've settled in, I look forward to camping with you guys and freezing by butt off with Tony and max in the Ocala.
