Fire from Tinder Fungus !

Went out with Mrs Pit today and decided to try blowing some Tinder Fungus into flame again but this time using Cedar bark.

First to get my ember established~

Then wrap it in the Cedar bark and begin blowing~

Getting a bit too warm to hold~

Too hot to hold so placed it on a branch and blew it to flame~

Found some wild edibles, Oyster mushrooms~

And another that is considered edible by some and not by others, Elfins Saddle~

Heading back with Mrs Pit and the girls~

With my Ferro-rod, takes a spark really easy.

Right on brother, glad you got out.

How about with a striker and flint? Have you tried that method yet, kinda interested to see how it works with the tinder fungus.

Have never tried tinder fungus, not even sure if it is around my area in GA.

Awesome! I've never had Oyster Mushrooms are they good? Shrooms don't really grow by me but I did find this Death Cap in my lawn yesterday...
