First 2012 outing.

The two oldest boys (3 and 6) and I had our first trip of the year. We hiked out about a mile and had lunch. We used the ol fire piston to start our fire. I wanted to try a bowdrill setup but I doubt they'd have been as patient as I. Haha. Anyways, we enjoyed a meal of Mac n cheese with chicken. The boys enjoyed some kool-aid and I brewed a cup of tea. We had a great time considering it was in the upper 60's (a little odd for January) and it was supposed to rain.

I even got the chance to find a little bit of fat-wood

It was. The kids were exhausted but had a blast. I hate the photos won't upload... :/
