I found an Old Hickory Cleaver that appeared to be well used and I thought 'There is a Hudson Bay Knife in there somewhere'. So, here are the pictures of the process:
After first two cuts
a better view
handles removed
putting on the edge
sharpened
new oak handles
handles in place
finished knife and sheath
My plan was to give this to a guy that participates in buckskinner rendezvous but I may keep it. It seems a good first try!!
