Hey Ya'll, spent the day at our winter camp for our first real snowfall of the year. The temps started in the mid 30's but dropped to the teens. It snowed all day dropping a couple of inches. We woke up to about 6 inches this morning.

We decided to leave a tarp up and add to the shelter a needed. I did a little hunting, but nothing was moving. I just hung out, cooked some grub, made some charcloth, chopped some wood and took a few pics.

Looks like a good day. Did you make that axe sheath? I like it :) Thanks for sharing your day.

Thank you, I did make the sheath. I'll put up some pics of it.

The Hudson bay style is a PMoore. He is a member here and a heck of a cool guy. The blade is O1, the scales are green burled maple with black and brown liners and brass and mosaic pins. The other is a Chris reeve project one. Its not as tapered as it looks. I'll post some better pics of both.

Chris Reeve is a world famous knifemaker. I've had that knife for around 13-14 years now. He no longer makes that line of knives. The steel is A2, his steel supplier decided to retire to his sailboat. Instead of finding a replacement he discontinued the line.
Check out his knifes at ChrisReeveknives.com. Be prepared to spend some cash, this knife sold for $350.00 15 years ago. These knives are off the chart right now hard to find.
