With JTD, Likesthewoods, and Lazarus the bush puppy. Woods we missed ya, but we understand.

Friday met up with LTW and our plan was to head out and trek in in the dark to the top, but instead of a super good snow storm we got some nasty freezing rain, Got the truck stuck at the trail head....

Cut the first night short and set up a quick hasty camp for the eve to get out of the wet, and settled in for the night. Up early the next day and back on the trail into the hills a few miles.

Found a good spot. i wanted to do a full elevated A frame and stay in the entire trip. worked out really good. was home for the next three days. Took about 4 hours to complete the way I wanted it all total.

Did some good cooking. continously cutting firewood and melting snow.

JTD came up and joined us on day three, small issue with Laz letting him camp...

I had a good get out, and made this my first outting for the bushclass,

Wow, that's some beautiful country there. Nice pup too! The picture of him(?) asleep on the branch is awesome. Shelters looked great. Good editing on the video too, the last bit of the walking away was perfect. Just ordered that book too, this video makes me that much more excited.

Thanks for sharing! I'm sitting on the couch sick waiting for the sore throat to go away wishing I was out in the woods.
 
Good trip, although mine was much shorter than yours!
 
Oh yeah.. except for when your bear dog almost took me out when I came into camp! :eek:

I sleep sound in the hills knowing that there is NOTHING comming into camp. but after he knows ya, just a big ol' puppy still.:7: ny three year old calls him her pet polar bear haha
