Yummy.

BluePig nailed a muscrat for breakfast on his own, Man did he stink that evening. Did some fishing, a little shooting, Some foraging. And built and calibrated a new sun compass. Hot and the bugs were bad, but the time was great.

Wish I was there, looks like you had a good time.

Did you save the snake skin ? :) I'm sure we could auction it off around here if you did. <g>.
Looks like a really good trip. The eagles are neat!

Looks like a great time. I know of a few guys that shoot muzzleloaders, do some Mexican-American War re-enacting, and go on the occasional semi-primitive camp out. You got me intrested enough I'll try and see if they'll let me tag along.

Looking foward for fall and winter, thats when the good camps get going.

Looks like a fun jaunt!
Hmm...methinks I'll have to shoot me some snakey goodness;)

Nice pics looks you boys had a good ol' time. Very austere looking also. The way it should be.

We should have fried our snake like that at the Ball. It looks much tastier. Maybe snake should be the official food of BCUSA?

Eagle: those are cottonwood trees. A big fire went through the area last summer. burnt most pretty good, but they are comming back. The river was pretty high for july, And rarley ever blows its banks, the sun river and tetons do every spring with the snow melt.

Grey one: saved the skin. going to tan it and try and cover my bow limbs with it.

Bushpuuko: Looks like i'm going to have to do a gear thread, For the short story, its a Henry Leman trade Rifle, Circa about 1840 ish repro. .50 cal 34" barrel with an L/R lock. Brass trimmings. Great shooter. Bit heavy at 13#.

Boonie: Get out there with them, Bushcraft and Buckskinning.

Looks like a beautiful spot, BST. Thanks for sharing the pics.
Later,
Iz
