Got a little colder these last two days and with it a little more snow. Sittin around the house was drivin me nuts, so since I had a few hrs to spare I went up to check on a place thats just a little bit up the rd from my usual woods, Google it didn't look like much and I had even driven past it in the spring and summer and never thought much about it, but today it begged to be explored.
Got there around 330pm which was kinda late for starting a hike, but whatcha gonna do. Only one other vehicle in the parkin lot and it was just leaving so I had the place all to myself
Had a qiuick look at the trail map...Which happened to be that Google sat shot...
Snow looked nice on the Evergreens...
The trail leads to a marshy area with a boardwalk going across it...
Nice little meandering crick...
Once across the boardwalk and up the other side I had this nice little view...
I could feel the stress melting away, after an hr of walkin and takin pics I decided to make my way back to the jeep...heres a little vid coming back down the hill to the boardwalk, forgive my newbe-ness with the videography
Mtn-biking/Camping/hunting/fires are not allowed in the area unfortunately, but considering I only covered maybe 1/3 of the main trails it looks like a great place to de-stress and get into shape while hiking the trail system, thanks for havin a look.
