So today she gets her Leatherman Charge TTi and she loves it. Says it goes along nice with the Kershaw Leek. I like that.

Well, I asked her on a whim, if she wants a fixed blade, 4" or so blade and, lo and behold, she says yes! Love her even more.

Now, for the catch: I make a list of pics with knives I think fit: KaBars, ESEE, Bark River, a bunch of custom woodlore knives and Fallknivens (the Northern Lights and the standard). Well, she chose the Fallkniven Northern Lights Idun.

Costs $300.

Yup!.......oh boy, me and my mouth....

Work it to your advantage...get her that, then it's less painful when you plan YOUR next purchase. Not that I'd ever do that, but....just sayin

I went through the same thing, except I got off a little cheaper with a pink ESEE Izula with her name engraved on it. $70.00.

I buy a couple 15-20 $ knives. The wife is like ok I want this leather couch. $1000. I'm like no. God love her. Wouldn't trade her for the world. Maybe you can get her the mora and stretch out the time til the fallkniven. Love this thread

Mora was on the friggin list. On top, the new survival with firesteel and the works. Didn't even register on her scale.
I swear, everytime we are in a store, no matter the type, she does it: i buy that reel and she says why not the other one? The other one is the most expensive of the whole display, of course. And we had to get tents, sleeping bags, boots, the whole kit. And now she wants a canoe.....
And I left the Souris River catalog next to the toilet....crap...
The upside, we always spend the same amount for each one of us. And she wants earrings soon!!!!

***wishing I married a sugardaddy***

:) :) :)

Marsh.

I wish for a sugarmommy!!!!! Is there such a thing?
Instead, we have to work.... well, nothing to do about this side of life!
See, to me, work means more gear. Simple way to look at things, right?

Someone, please tell me that having and raising a baby is cheap, please?

Get her the Indun. It's the right thing to do...:)

Happy wife...Happy life! From experience.

Besides, count yourself lucky that you have a great bush partner to share the outdoors with!

Regards,

ezra

You are so right there! I pity my friends: we go in the Boundary waters and they go to the Spa in some snotty resort, we go in the Smoky's, they go to Vegas, at another spa. Sucks...

Yeah, I love her. Been together 12 years now, since high school. Seen a lot of backcountry just me and her, because we never found another couple to join. They always wanted to know how close the hotel is and when I showed them my tarps, they just never called back. Their loss..

So yeah, she will get the Idun:7:
