I don't know if this is quite homemade. I took an old bike trailer and added a few things to make it a dog cart. Here is a video I made. I bought the dog harness from Black Ice dog sledding online.

That is so cool. I love that she's whining because she so wants to do what she was bred to do; GO GO GO!

The only changes that I would possibly make were it my design is remove the spreader bar and have the pulling force spread to two points on the cart. I would worry about that bar hitting her and irritating her legs. Please note that this is an uninformed opinion having not seen it in person so I can only guess. Beyond that this is one of the coolest things I've seen all day.

Nice! With the price of gas you can use that rig to do your grocery shopping, save money and stay in shape at the same time. Not to mention trips into the bush.

I do have to watch the spreader bar. But, if the harness is on correctly, then it doesn't hit her. I use the harness without the poles on my sled, and so I need the bar for that as well. Of course, I am thinking of putting poles on my sled to help her out with braking.
