My brother and I got out for a walk this morning. We looked around for a place to camp next month. Did get a small fire going with flint and steel. Cooked a little bacon and coffee.
It was nice to get out for a bit.

:6: Steve is there plenty of deadwood lying around to make fires with. Just wondering , I was planning on taking my kids there next year in the early spring and didn't know if I needed to pack in enough wood in for an overnighter or if there was plenty lying around the trails.

Thats a neat place....We did a camp at Hemlock Cliffs back in Sept. That was a very cool place to camp. Awesome hike around there.

Went there for a few days with my dad and brother a couple months ago and we had a great trip. It was pretty empty then, so you shouldn't have too much crowding when you go. Lots of downed wood and lots of good trails and places to fish, etc. Hope you have a great trip!!!

I spend a lot of time out at Hoosier. Love it there. Ive been working on exploring every inch of the Charles dean wilderness. Gotta love going up into the fire tower too.

I have jumped out of airplanes but climbing those shakey fire towers is a different story. We climbed one in Brown County this summer the kids went to the very top , more power to them.

So where exactly were you?

So was this a serious question?

We were just south of Paoli. We call this area the Boy Scout camp.
I can't remember the real trail name.
