Here we go someone else changed their name...yada,yada,yada

O.K alot of people have changed their names for alot of different reasons but hopefully everyone can understand my change.

I formally known as (no not Prince..lol) shtf_survivor have changed my name to Ohio Bushcrafter.

Why ? Because my 7yr. old daughter looking over my shoulder said "what does shtf spell daddy"? :54::19::6::27::3:

Crossing my fingers I replied it means :27: Simply Happy To Forgive, her response was "It doesn't sound right Simply Happy To Forgive Survivor"

Well needless to say I'm not going through that again.

So, Ohio Bushcrafter it is, Sorry for the inconvenience.

I think it sounds less gloom/doom anyway so thank you Annabella although I hope you don't see this you helped daddy pick a better name.

This one will be much better received than the Ranger Joe fiasco.
 
My wife and I try to limit her access to things like that,

Being inquisitive she might look it up on the internet and find out the whole EOTWAWKI thing and me using shtf_survivor only would give credence to it.

So I would preference her learning to hunt, fish,camp & other bushcrafts not be associated with "bad" I want it to remain a fun thing like it has been for all her brothers and sisters.
 
Good swap........less gloom and doom is a good thing.
 
The shtf_survivor was never meant as that..Although I could see how it could be interpreted.

It was meant more along the lines of "My grandpa'w taught me how to live off the land"

The things we do for our children. I'm always so pleased when they ask me what a swear word means when they hear it on television or a movie. It means I cleaned up my filthy mouth and am doing my job right as a parent. Good on you, OB!
