Anyone here planing on doing som IAT ( or Ice Age Trail, in case theres some who dont know) walking this year?:54: I think I'd like to start with my home section, waushara county, and go from there.

I've wanted to do parts of the southern trail for a while now. The southern kettle moraine is so close...it would be nice.

Eventually, I like to do the whole 1k+ miles, but alot of it seems like road walking to me.

Plan to hike the Eagle section in the southern kettles soon, possibly this weekend. Maybe a northern section this spring

there is a good length of section up on very northwest end that is not roads

Still a lot of downed timber in parts of the northern 1/3. 2nd best thing about the northern portions is that impromptu camping is allowed. Best thing is the scenery. :-]

I've day hiked much of the Southern Kettles n Langlade County portions n a lil of the Northern Kettles. Want to do more.

well, Im starting to get my plan of attack in order, Id like to start sometime this spring. Im starting to collect some to the gear i may need. like new boots lol

Hiked the Southern Kettles the other day with my son. We really enjoyed the fresh snow we just got. Made staying dry a challenge. With our lack of snow this winter we've forgotten how much fun getting snow down the back of your shirt is!:17::4:

Had a quick lunch in shelter #1, then off through the snow again. Nothing special this time, just freeze dried chicken & mashed potatoes.

Well gitter done! lol. Great pics fer sure. Heard there's a great map by Milwaukee Maps that has both N n S Kettles on it for only $6. Gotta get me one of those.
